Prismacolor Blender Pencil Crayon

I've had this around for awhile and never put it on the site.... duh.
Becca used it recently in one of her beautiful creations and reminded me! Thanks Becca!

When I first bought these rounds of wax, they were not pure beeswax.
These ones are!
Pull your unwaxed thread quickly through the slots - the friction will cause the wax to melt in a thin layer on your thread. Made for quilters, but sweet for bookbinders!

Black Lutradur
Here is another item I've had for a while but never put on the site. Hello? Earth to Suzanne....

4-ply Waxed Linen Thread in Charcoal
- this is darker than Slate but not as dark as Black.

New Spellbinder's Cutting and Embossing Dies

Quietfire Design now has
Spellbinders
and Cuttlebug Embossing Folders!

Check them out in the Tools Department!

My Design Team loves these tools, so I *had* to bring them in!

I've always been frustrated that there wasn't an easy way to cut ovals.... now the problem is solved with the Spellbinders Nestabilities. I couldn't have described this better than Becca who wrote:

"Try as I may, I absolutely can’t cut anything out by hand – it looks so horrible – so die cuts are a must for me and I love the finished professional look they give a project."

Over the next few weeks I hope to get more of these in stock, plus some additional information about them. If you have a question, please send me an email. I'll assemble all your questions and try to answer them as best I can
(with a lot of help from the Design Team, I'm sure!!)

Kakishibu powder

Both Walnut Ink Crystals and Kakishibu are wonderful for backgrounds!
Kakishibu is made from the fermented juice of unripe astringent persimmons. It is used on wood, washi and textiles. The basic kakishibu colour is a brownish burnt pumpkin colour, but the final results may vary depending on temperature, humidity, age of the kakishibu and other factors. Mix the 5g packet with 100ml (about 3 oz.) of water and stir until powder is dissolved or allow to sit overnight. Diluted solutions can be made from this standard concentration.
