is a combination of fusible web and stiff interfacing. Your
ATCs won't flop, but you can still sew through them if you desire!
The
project on the cover of the April/May 2007 issue of Sew
News magazine uses this product supplied by us! |

General Directions for using this stiff interfacing:
Use the
Giant Non-stick Ironing and
Craft Sheet under the product when ironing.
- Cut
Shapes which you have drawn or traced on the stiff interfacing
and cut out. Cut fabric pieces 1/2" larger.
- Place
fabric right side up on top of the stiff interfacing and press
with a hot dry iron for 5 seconds
- Trim
Trim fabric even with stiff interfacing.
- Turn
project over. Place 2nd piece of fabric on top of the stiff
interfacing. Press with a hot dry iron for 5 seconds. Trim
2nd piece of fabric even with edge.
- Press
firmly with a hot iron and steam for 10 seconds to permanently
fuse fabric to interfacing. Turn over to other side of fabric
and repeat. Projects made with this interfacing can be machine
washed in cold water and tumbled dry on low heat. But I don't
plan to wash my ATCs or Journals!!

Angelina Fibres

Gold Iris Mix

Heat Bondable Angelina Fiber is a new,
very fine, unique fiber. Light reflective, as well as light
refractive, Angelina is incredibly luminescent, while (unlike
regular metallics) it has an extremely soft hand. Blended with
other fibers in amounts as small as 2%, it gives sparkle and
highlight to your yarn. Imagine diamond-like dew drops on a
spider's web and the iridescence of butterfly wings! Note that
the base color is the color of the fiber when there is no direct
light reflection. Every portion of the fiber has the potential
to reflect to the viewer sparkles of color. This is what gives
the fiber its lively "color in motion" quality. The effect can
be like watching light dance off the surface of water.
Directions: Sprinkle some fibers onto
freezer paper or an applique pressing sheet, cover over with
another sheet of freezer paper or pressing sheet, and press
layers with warm iron set at approximately 225 degrees (polyester
setting). Lift off top layer, let cool and peel the resulting
fiber sheet off the bottom. May have to scratch with your nail
to get it started and then peel off.
- You can try fusing other colored threads, confetti pieces
or tiny beads into the fibers at the same time.
- Try using this for cut-out shapes
- for insets
- overlays
- sew over it

Beeswax, each
for
waxing unwaxed thread. Pull the thread quickly through the slots,
so the friction melts a thin layer of wax on the thread. It
reduces tangling and the thread bites on itself preventing slipping.
