1. Select two contrasting papers from Quietfire
Design's wide selection. |

2. Cut one 4" square from one colour paper. Mark
½ inch border on reverse side. |
|
|
3. With a sharp blade, cut ¼ inch slots from border to border.
(See cuts held apart by toothpicks for illustration)

|
4. Cut six ¼ inch strips from a 5" square of the
contrasting colour. |
|
|
5. Thread blue strips over and under each slit red
strip. |
|
|
6. Glue ends down, then trip closely as shown. |
|
|
7. Using a heart template, trace on reverse, then
cut into shape as shown. |
|
|
8. Affix to contrast colour paper. Stamp and gold
emboss sentiment. |
