Redeeming Valentine Accordion Instructions

Why redeeming? Well, because this is a coupon book! Give your sweetie something to warm their heart on Valentine's Day.

1. Cut a piece of Amber Bazzill Cardstock to 4 ½" x 12". Use the Scor-it Board to score every 2". Accordion fold the card into 6 panels.

2. Cut 4 pieces of decorative paper using the Spellbinders Fancy Tags die. (I used the dark red) This project was originally going to be a pocket accordion, so I cut the bottom scrollwork off the tag for ease of inserting in the pockets. Keep the pieces you cut off.

3. With the same (dark red) paper, cut a strip of the Borderabilities Renaissance Hearts through the Wizard.

4. Choose a piece of coordinating paper - I used an amber colour (that's why I love these 7 Gypsies Paper Pads - they all work together!) - and use the Wizard to cut two strips of the Borderabilities Renaissance Hearts. Cut 4 perfect hearts out of the 2 strips.

5. Stamp, positioning as shown, the Words of Love onto the coupon with a stamp pad.

6. Glue the diecut hearts onto the bottom part of the coupon as shown.

7. Write the message to your lovey on the back. Nope. Not gonna show ya!

8. Tie a narrow (1/8") ribbon around the coupon.

9. Use a Mini Glue Dot to hold the ribbon to the card as shown. The coupon may be slipped out of the ribbon at the time it is redeemed. (!)

10. Glue two dark red die cut hearts in line with the coupon hearts on the two remaining inside panels.

11. Stamp This is My Beloved on a piece of the dark red paper and choose an appropriately sized oval from the Nestabilities Standard Ovals. Position the stamped message in the center of the die and die cut the oval, then emboss the edge with the Wizard.

12. Cut one more row of Hearts from the Amber cardstock (or the amber decorative paper) and cut out an individual heart.

13. Assemble the pieces on the front cover and glue in place.

Happy Valentine's Day!
