2. Holly Jolly Card

  • Cut a layer of lighter green cardstock for a 1/4" reveal on a standard card and use corner rounder.
  • Mark a starting point 1/4" in from left side so that you are sure to get a straight line. I used the Mini Scor-it tool to create my line.
  • Cut a piece of 1/4" Double-sided sided tape and position tape at your marks for a straight line.
  • Repeat 2 more times for 3 rows. Make sure you butt the tape up against the previous row so that there is no gap between strips of tape.
  • Remove liner from middle tape and dust with Gold embossing powder. Shake off excess. Use small brush to remove excess that has stuck to the top of the liner paper of the other two rows.
  • Heat set Gold row.
  • Remove liner from other two rows and dust with Verdigris Embossing powder. Shake off excess and heat set.

  • Stamp holly and saying on cream cardstock using brilliance pearlescent ivy inkpad and tsukineko verdigris embossing powder. Heat set.

  • Create card using bazzill medium green cardstock. Use corner rounder.

3.Textured Holiday Words Portfolio Oil Pastels Card

  • Scribble bands of blue and purple Portfolio Oil Pastels on a quarter sheet of white cardstock.

  • Using flat Waterbrush, add water and brush bands of colors until they blend enough so that the bands aren't obvious anymore. Allow to dry. To speed drying, use heat gun. Tip: heat first on the back, then the front, and again on the back to minimize warping of the paper.

  • Stamp saying in middle of prepared background using brilliance moonlight white inkpad and sparkle embossing powder. Heat set.
  • Trim saying layer and rub edges with Brilliance Pearlescent Purple inkpad.
  • Prepare card from Bazzill dark purple cardstock. Cut and attach layer from lighter purple Bazzill cardstock. Cut another layer of dark purple Bazzill cardstock slightly larger than sayings layer. Attach layers together and attach to prepared card.

  • Cut lengths of Double-sided tape slightly longer than edges of cards front, one side at a time. Cut ends at an angle. Start by pressing one end of tape in corner and peel back just the end of the liner paper. Press tape to card, twisting, turning and folding tape as you slowly remove the liner paper. You want the look of curling ribbon. Continue until all sides are adhered.

  • Cut and emboss using Diecutting Machine and Spellbinders Scalloped Ovals. Attach to center of card front.
