Take one of your largest rectangles and cut it in half (it will be 3 1/4" x 3 3/4"). Fold all other rectangles in half. Stack six of the largest rectangles together, one on top of the other, using tape to to adhere the layers together. Open the book so the top page and the back page are facing upwards. |

Run tape around the edges of the top layers. Lay a piece of ribbon over top, making sure to leave a bit of slack in the center. (you will want the ribbon long enough so that you can tie a bow to keep your book closed if you wish).

Take the 2 pieces of the largest rectangle that you cut in half, and adhere them to the front and back page of your book. These will be your covers. I now stamped whatever I wanted to stamp onto the smallest rectangles. I used all Quietfire Design stamps. They were all stamped in black versafine ink, then embossed with clear embossing powder.

Using tape on both of the ends of the 2nd largest rectangles, tape them onto the inside of the largest rectangles, offsetting each edge a bit. Also make sure each page will close flat. When all those are done, start taping in your smallest rectangles, again offsetting each page a bit, and making sure the pages close flat.

Now you can design your covers. You can stamp them as is, or you can cut patterned paper and stamp on that, then adhere the pieces to your covers. Enjoy your little book! They are perfect for gift giving! |
