Instructions

Stamp the quote.

Draw a circle above the quote (I used that high tech tool that I had handy for a template.... the bottom of the squeeze bottle!)

Squeeze a small amount of the Jones Tones Plexi Glue in the center and then use a crappy brush to spread the glue around.

Don't use a good brush - you're spreading glue! Leave some swirls in the glue. You'll be able to see the texture later.

Allow to dry. When clear, the glue will still be tacky. The foil/leaf will adhere to it.

You can easily pick up the flakes/leaf with your fingers. If it doesn't stick rub your finger on your nose. The oil will be enough to make the leaf stick (an old gilder's trick). Smoosh a few flakes onto the surface.

Flatten the flakes with your fingers, or put a piece of glassine over the flakes (again, the gilder in me) and burnish them down. I like the "sun" to be a bit rough, not a perfect circle. Ahem, which makes life a lot easier.

Dust away the bits of loose leaf with a soft, but firm ( know what I mean????) brush.

The texture would show more if I hadn't used varigated leaf.

Trim the cardstock. Cut a slightly larger piece of contrasting cardstock and mount this on the card using double-sided tape.
