An Australian-born Canadian, Deborah is a very happily retired
social worker living in Nova Scotia who now enjoys papercrafting
as her “second career 8-4 routine.” An empty nester of a son and
a daughter, she enjoys spending time with her four grandsons,
three of whom play in her crafts room with her as long as she’ll
let them.

Deborah teaches
card design in her hometown of Halifax, dabbles in mixed media
design, and has won several card design contests. Her work has
been published in Paper Creations, Rubber Stamp Madness, Correspondence
Art, Rubber Stamper, Paper Crafts, Joy of Card Making, Simply
Sentiments, and is scheduled for publication in Stampington’s
Take Ten, and magazines in the UK and Australia.
She’s an active
member of several online communities, and enjoys the pleasures
of electronic social interaction as a happy addition to her addiction.
Deborah also immerses herself in gardening and creates stained
glass pieces to whet her creative appetite. She “found” Quietfire
earlier this year, and has been delighted to see how well her
cards using QFD stamps are being received by magazines.
Deborah is
“tickled pink” to be a part of the new Quietfire Design Team.
