Note: You are using 12-20 envelopes for this project,
the first 6 are the actual pages, the rest become pocket type
inserts.
Cut a piece of chipboard about 5.25" wide 11" long. Use
the Scallop On the Edge die, to die cut the right hand side
of the cover, then trim the left hand side down with an x-acto
blade or trimmer to a final width of 4.75". Die cut the bottom
edge, matching the right hand scallop so it makes a neat merge.
Do the same for the top edge.
TIP: I put a piece of masking tape on the die at right angles
to the side so I can butt my chipboard up against it and get
a straight cut.
Repeat on a second piece of chipboard so it matches the first.
If you're using coated chipboard, make sure you match the scallops
correctly - they're not symmetrical, so you'll need to flip
your chipboard.
Paint the outside, inside and edges with the Lumiere paint.
When dry, cover the outside with the marble scrapbook paper.
Die cut the shrink plastic with the #1 (smallest) of the Labels
10 die. Stamp the word with the black stamp pad and bake as
per directions on package. Remove from oven and carefully press
down between a craft sheet for a second to let it cool flat.
Glue 2 pieces of mulberry paper together with a glue stick,
press down firmly to adhere and let dry a few minutes (this
adds strength and is easier to punch out). Punch out the Sakura
flower. Punch out the daisy type flower from a matching color.
Assemble the flower using a dot of liquid glue for the flower
pieces and some extra heavy gel medium for the shrink plastic
pieces. Set aside to place on card later.
Die cut 2 of large Sizzix die cuts, paint and while wet sprinkle
the glitter. Put aside to dry.
